EXCITE Design Phase Workshop Starts Next Week

The new EXCITE programming will be divided into two phases: Design and Implementation. The purpose of the Design Phase is to award funds to support staff time to develop partnerships and strategies for successful project implementation. Monthly workshops and accompanying office hours will be provided to help prepare projects for submission for a competitive Implementation phase. The first workshop will be next Thursday, October 13th, covering priority population and partnerships. The recording of the workshop along with resources will be posted on our website after the completion of the workshop! Register for the Design Phase workshops and find other information about the Design Phase below.

EXCITE Annual Progress Report

Find the EXCITE NIFA annual report here, which details the first year of the EXCITE project and was created by the EXCITE National Program team and the Extension Foundation. The report describes the EXCITE project’s goals, the unique strengths Extension brings to immunization education, the pivots the project had to make to adapt to the ever-changing pandemic, designing for system work, and the system solutions developed to support this project. This report exemplifies what EXCITE has accomplished in the projects LGU communities while also serving as a great model for the system.

Action Items:

  • Take the Design Phase Feedback Survey
If you attended the Excite funding launch or watched the recording, would you please respond to this survey to help direct our steps in terms of supporting you as you prepare for the design phase to help us collect feedback about the project kick-off and launch of the Design Phase. Thank you for your help!
  • Send us your Project Pictures!
If you have any pictures of your project in action you would be willing to share, please reply to this Newsletter, or E-mail the them to Excite@extension.org. As we put together end of project presentations these pictures will be valuable visual representation of the work we’ve accomplished, and help tell the story of EXCITE. Please note that we would only like pictures that have followed your institutions protocol on getting the appropriate permission to publish photos.
  • Record Your Past and Upcoming Project Sharing
Please share on this sheet if your team is planning or has already presented your project findings to audiences outside of Extension. We see that some of you have presented posters and want to be sure to capture that as a part of our project!
